As the world's first case of gene editing of maternal life in order to prevent AIDS, once the news came out, it immediately attracted the attention and discussion of the scientific community and the whole society.

Gene editing, generally speaking, is the process of aiming at the pathogenic gene sequence in DNA, implementing "Delete" or "Ctrl + V" and other operations to delete or implant the pathogenic gene into the healthy gene. In fact, this was not a new scientific topic. As early as the 1990s, the scientific community had begun to explore gene editing. With the development of biotechnology, the medical community had tried to use gene editing to successfully cure children’s invasive leukemia and other incurable cases.
