Up to the Future, 2019 Tree Climbing Invitational Tournament Ended Successfully

"Wow, how fast!". "That's cool, isn't it?". On October 27, a burst of cheers came from Xiamen Zhongshan Park. A quick guy sprang to his feet and climbed the tree branch. Followed by a quick leap, he moved like knight errant in the swordsman movie. This exciting and wonderful scene was staged by the contestant of the master challenge of The 2019 Cross-Strait & Hong Kong-Macao Region Mass Series Events — Tree Climbing Tournament.

2019 Tree Climbing Invitational Tournament was a large-scale tree climbing competition with professionalism, culture and communication, as well as a sports event to share friendship and technical exchanges. The event was hosted by the Liaison Department of All-China Sports Federation and Fujian Sports Federation, organized by Fujian Social Sports Guidance Center and Fujian Tree Climbing Association, co-organized by the P.E Department of Xiamen University and Xiamen Mountaineering & Outdoor Sport Association, and executed by Tree Climbing Sports Co., Ltd., which attracted strong attention and follow-up reports from the mainstream medias in China. At the venue of the event, a series of tree climbing projects such as footlock.vt, work climb, speed climb, throw line, aerial rescue and so on were staged in turn. Whether they were tree climbing experts or a green hands, they were constantly challenging their limits and breaking through themselves, presenting a wonderful tree climbing feast for the audience.

In the amateur group competition on October 26, the contestant Li Yongling, used precise throwing and proper strength to make the bean bag cross the tree branch perfectly in the air, which attracted the praise of the judges. While Mou Bin, the professional group contestant, brought a great technical show. She was not disordered in front of the line, skillfully pushed up and down with SRT system, climbed rapidly and stunned the whole venue.

The competition was going on anxiously. The competitors who stand out from the professional group competition competed once again in the master challenge on October 27, presenting a peak battle of speed and passion. Yu Yanling, a Chinese mainland player, started to set up a route in her mind at the beginning of the competition, bypassing the obstacles and jumping on the tree trunk, which brought the first show of the master challenge and ignited the warm atmosphere of the competition. Lin Weiming, a Taiwan player who had attracted much attention, had been able to deal with complex tree situations with a clear and orderly thinking and steady and smooth movements, showing a good ability of adaptability and body coordination, which made the audience and opponents marvel. With a bell ringing, Xie Wei from Hong Kong, carefully walked back from the pliable treetops, and with his rich experience, he quickly made breakthroughs one by one to complete the "task" within the specified time. His calm and unhurried rhythm, and treetops control ability, highly annotated the style of the veteran tree climber and won the applause of the audience.

The intense and fierce competition made everyone excited, and the opening of the tree climbing experience area meet the audience's desire to experience, especially by young children. "I didn't expect that he could learn so fast. Tree Climbing made them learn to face difficulties independently, which was not experienced in class." With the patient guidance and encouragement of the coach, a little boy was at a loss at the beginning, and finally completed the climbing movement  independently. In the process of getting close to nature, he exercised courage and experienced the fun of tree climbing for the first time. Many of the participants also said that it was their first time to know it and they enjoyed this new and fun sport.

During the two-day competition, the players competed with the spirit of bravery and hard work to show their technique and style, which presented high level and good style of competition. Finally, Xu Renhan from Taiwan, won the championship of the women's group in the master challenge and the champion of the aerial rescue event of the professional group. Lin Weiming won the first prize of the men's group of the master challenge and the champion of the professional group's event ascent climb, work climb and aerial rescue.

Make friends with trees, up to the future. The successful holding of The 2019 Cross-Strait & Hong Kong-Macao Region Mass Series Events — Tree Climbing Tournament set off the upsurge of "public participation" in the tree climbing movement, and took a new step on the road of popularizing tree climbing movement.
